Director is overall in charge of JIMS by virtue of ACT passed by Sindh Assembly in 2013 and looking the day to day affairs of institute. The Minister of Health Government of Sindh is Chairman of Board of Governors, Secretary Health Government of Sindh is Vice Chairman of Board of Governors and Director JIMS is Secretary of Board of Governors. The total numbers of BoG members are 19 now as per amended Act 2017.
